Australia’s pre-eminent dance company was experiencing a significant cultural shift and financial pressures with the exit of the Artistic Director after thirty years and a new leadership team. Janine was engaged to increase new income through philanthropy, sponsorship and commercial activities.
Janine developed a long term revenue strategy with a global outlook to support the organisation’s ambitions. Working closely with the Board and Executive on the implementation process, firm foundations were established for future growth. Janine built the systems and tools required to effectively implement the new strategy and an “all of organisation” approach to building income.
Sydney Dance Company doubled its development revenue across two years; significantly increasing both the number of donors and size of major gifts. Janine secured high profile international corporate partners such as Singapore Airlines, VISA International and Lancome. The company’s development team grew from one to five, the iconic Dance Noir was established and Sydney Dance Company reaffirmed its place as one of Australia’s most celebrated international touring organisation.
