In 2014 Janine founded J9, to pursue a more significant national impact and initiate global interest and opportunities in Australia’s creative and cultural sectors.
The purpose of J9 is to unlock investment in culture through new models, business partnerships, commercial initiatives, cultural tourism, and philanthropy while building the capacity of the arts and cultural organisations and leaders she advises.
Janine Collins is a Board member of Regional Arts Australia and The Social Outfit, past Chair of Performance Space, past Board member of PACT, Urban Theatre Projects, Inner City Legal Centre, member of the Creative Land Trust Advisory Committee (Committee for Sydney), industry advisor for SXSW Sydney and Creative Australia and past curator of the global conference, Culture Business. She has presented in New York, Beijing, Tokyo and Amsterdam.
